National Association of Wedding Ministers Closing
Prayer - Christian Closing Prayer Christian #1 Eternal Father, creator, redeemer, lover of our souls, we now turn to you, and as the first act of this couple, in their newly formed union, we ask you to protect their home. May they always turn to you for guidance, for strength, for provision, and for direction. May they glorify you in the choices they make, in the ministries they involve themselves in, in all that they do. Use them to draw others to yourself, and let them stand as a testimony to the world of your faithfulness. We ask this in Jesus name, Amen. Closing Prayer Christian #2 – Pastor Scott Carpenter Eternal God, without your grace no promise is sure. Strengthen this loving couple with the gift of the Holy Spirit, so they may fulfill the vows they have taken. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. heavenly Father, we give thanks for the moment that brings (Groom)
and (Bride) together in marriage. We recognize with thanksgiving
the journeys that have brought them to this time, and we celebrate
with them the hopes they hold for their life together. We ask your
blessing upon them to sustain them through the difficult and uncertain
times that come to every relationship. We pray that they may continue
to find in each other the resources that will nurture their marriage.
May they continue to grow together and may their love for each
other deepen with the passing years. |
